Welcome to Smiler's Counselling Lincolnshire.
I'm Chantelle, a qualified person-centred counsellor with a passion for supporting adults, children and young people through life's challenges.
I believe that everyone deserves to feel heard, understood and accepted, regardless of their background, experiences or circumstances.
My aim is to provide a warm, welcoming and non-judgemental environment where you can feel comfortable being yourself.
My journey into counselling has been shaped by a genuine passion for mental health and emotional wellbeing.
Having experienced some of life's challenges myself, I understand that reaching out for support isn't always easy.
I believe that nobody should feel they have to face difficult times alone, and this belief is at the heart of why I became a counsellor.
Through my training, volunteering and professional experience, I have developed a strong commitment to helping people feel valued, listened to and supported.
I have a particular passion for supporting children and young people, recognising the importance of giving them a voice and a safe space to express themselves.
I work using a person-centred approach, which means that you are at the heart of our sessions.
I won't tell you what to do or make decisions for you. Instead, I offer empathy, understanding and genuine acceptance, allowing you to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
I believe that you are the expert in your own life and that, with the right support, you can develop greater self-awareness and find your own way forward.
Whether you're feeling anxious, experiencing grief, struggling with confidence or simply need someone to talk to, I'm here to listen without judgement.
I am committed to maintaining and developing my professional knowledge and skills.
My qualifications and additional training include:
Level 5 Diploma in Counselling
Level 5 Diploma in Counselling Children and Young People
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
Mental Health First Aid training
Domestic Abuse Champion training
Ongoing professional development
Regular clinical supervision
I am also an individual member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Outside of counselling, I'm a down-to-earth, friendly person who believes that kindness, understanding and a little humour can make a difference.
I understand that life isn't always straightforward and that everyone has their own story.
I aim to bring warmth, authenticity and compassion into my counselling work, helping clients feel comfortable, respected and able to be themselves.
I chose the name Smiler's Counselling because I wanted to create a service that feels approachable, welcoming and human.
Counselling isn't about being happy all the time or putting on a brave face. It's about having somewhere you can be yourself, even on the difficult days.
At Smiler's Counselling, you don't need to pretend everything is okay.
You are welcome just as you are.
If you're considering counselling and would like to find out more, I offer a free 15-minute introductory chat.
This is an opportunity for us to talk, ask questions and see whether counselling feels right for you.
